This comes in great timing before tonight’s VP debate. We all need some laughter and a break from the Palin-mania.
Enjoy the sneak preview.
The controversial Oscar-winning filmmaker is capturing once again everyone’s attention right before a major Presidential election. Moore has decided to thank his fans by releasing his feature-length film “Slacker Uprising” for free on the internet.
The film traces Moore’s 62 –city tour of the swing states during the 2004 Presidential election and records the responses he received across the country. Along with his appearance, “Slacker Uprising” also features live performances and appearances by Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Roseanne Barr, Joan Baez, Steve Earle, Viggo Mortensen, and R.E.M.
Moore has made three out of the five top-grossing documentaries of all time including “Fahrenheit 9/11”. The filmmaker says, “I realize that in a few months it will be the 20th anniversary of my first film, ‘Roger & Me’. I’ve been very blessed and fortunate to have so many people come to my movies over these two decades, I decided why not bypass the studios and the exhibitors and make one that the fans can have for free, as a show of my profound appreciation of their support.”
Regardless of your political affiliation, I think it is important to listen to all sides of the issues. So without further a due I bring to you the film. Let me know what you think!
